When Abby and Tyler contacted me from Colorado the three of us spoke on a video call and talked about their plans for the big day and Tyler’s very well planned and beautiful proposal at Disney. I had a blast getting to know these two! Abby and Tyler met through work, the Colorado Rockies. Baseball has been such a large part of their story. In fact, their engagement pictures in Colorado were taken at a baseball stadium! On the wedding day, Tyler gave each of his guys personalized baseball bats. How fun!
When Tyler decided to propose, Abby was at Disney with a best friend and he was working (in a completely different state) or so Abby thought. While taking a picture in front of the castle with her best friend, you can see Tyler entering the frame from behind and Abby’s face read both shock and excitement! There, in the middle of the happiest place in the world, Tyler asked Abby to marry him!
About a year before their wedding, we met in person at their wedding venue, Little River Farms. This was my first time at this charming venue, tucked away in the trees of Milton and fields of horses. My first thought was how excited I was to meet my couple face to face while they were in town. As I walked around their venue, I could tell their wedding photos would have the most beautiful backdrops. Rain or Shine. It’s the best Plan B venue I have ever seen. The bridal suite is absolutely gorgeous, complete with a bed, lots of room for getting ready, and a ton of natural light flooding into the room (hello, photographer’s best friend!) Another thing I love about Little River Farms is that they have the guys in mind too with the decor and activity downstairs, plus it’s plenty far away from the bride. The farmhouse truly feels like you’re walking around in our own home. What a way to feel relaxed on your wedding day!
Almost a month after I met Abby and Tyler, I got engaged! I knew exactly who I wanted to visit when it came to searching for a venue. I booked my own wedding about a month before Abby and Tyler’s special day as I knew I wanted to get married in October. I felt a special attachment to this sweet couple because not only do we share the same name, but their insights into their own wedding day led me to some wonderful connections for my own big day and as I went back to the venue a month after my wedding to be a photographer and not a bride, I was feeling all sorts of sentimental! For the first time, I could really put myself in the bride’s shoes and understand how she was feeling.
We saw rain on their wedding day but, I wasn’t worried one bit when it came to this venue, plus it had completely stopped by the time we did their couple portraits! I wanted their day to be SO special and I was going to do everything I could to make that happen. Their friends and family did an amazing job and making sure it was the best day for them. They had a fun and supportive bridal party, their families were as nice as can be, her dad performed the ceremony which was full of giggles and tears, and they danced the night away at their reception! Abby and Tyler have a love that is very supportive of one another. Tyler’s emotional response to Abby’s wedding day gift showed how thoughtful and caring they are towards one another. Tyler’s grandfather was there in spirit, but Abby put his picture on a pin so that Tyler could keep him close to his heart under his suit. I know their love will be the type that always puts each other and their family first.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Sanders! Hoping newlywed life has been the best!
