Heather and Ryan had so many wonderful surprises during their special day such as, a song by the groom for his bride, a real-life version of the “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” pair of jeans and a high school boy on his way to prom who stopped to propose to Heather. During the reception, there was a break dance of the “worm,” a limbo party, and Heather and Ryan were lifted into the air together!
Heather was overcome with emotion when Ryan stood up to perform a song for her after dinner. It was the sweetest moment. Heather’s childhood friend had a show and tell moment during her speech when she pulled out their very own Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants pair of jeans from their childhood! How special. I was obsessed with those books as a kid! Heather was shocked to see the pair of jeans again!
They were married in Heather’s childhood church. Afterward, we went to Barrington Hall for some portraits (along with every prom-goer!) and took some more photos when we got to Primrose Cottage.
This couple is elegant, classical, traditional and so.much.fun. Their wedding party was just the same. It was easy to see that this couple has an amazing support group. Heather told me that choosing Primrose Cottage for their wedding was like inviting guests into their own home. For them, this venue felt like home but also gave them the room to party with their friends and family.
Thank you so much, Mr. & Mrs. Wiita for inviting me to a part of your day! Congratulations!
