When Matthew decided to propose to Stephanie last year, he chose Hilton Head Island on the beach at sunset. As the sun went down on their very first night on the island together, Matthew walked her over to the water to see the “dolphins.” Matthew stopped and got down on one knee and when Stephanie turned around, there he was! She said yes to a life of love and surprises with Matthew by her side.
Before the engagement, Stephanie was introduced to Matthew’s first two ladies, his pups….Delphi and Gracie. Gracie immediately took to Stephanie and let Matthew know that she was clearly meant to be part of the family. Delphi and Gracie were a part of the bridal party and they were listed on the program as “Puppy of the Groom” and “Puppy of the Bride.” It was so sweet! They were even dressed for the occasion in floral collars. Yes, it was THAT cute!
Stephanie and Matthew’s Chateau Elan wedding was elegant, modern, and FUN! They were having so much fun, they decided to dance the night away another hour. You know you’re having a great time when you don’t want it to end! When searching for venues, it was important to them that Delphi and Gracie were welcomed by their wedding venue. They had many friends and family traveling for their big day so the all-inclusive atmosphere of Chateau Elan was perfect for everyone, not just for the big day but the whole wedding weekend.
Stephanie and Matthew read hand written vows to each other during their ceremony and did a first look as well. I (including so many others) definitely teared up. We caught a sweet moment of Matthew’s mom tearing up during his vows to his bride. It’s those personal touches that really tell the couple’s story that get me. every. single. time. Also, Stephanie and I bonded some more over our obsession for Kate Spade. Her sister brought up this obsession in her speech. Matthew’s best man mentioned that if Matthew goes up in the world, he brings others around him up as well. Both the Matron of Honor speech and Best Man speech touched on the bride and groom’s character and I loved that.
Stephanie and Matthew are off in St. Lucia on their honeymoon right now and that’s where I’m headed tomorrow to celebrate another sweet couple! WHAT? Yes, that are the chances?! We will be at the same resort too.
I am so honored that Stephanie and Matthew chose me to be by their side, capturing every moment of the most important day of their lives so far.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Pinder!
