You may remember this sweet couple and their two pups from the blog recently. We had a blast at their engagement session this past September, getting to know each other and documenting that special time of being engaged. On March 23rd, Lizzy and Dardan tied the knot!
Their intimate spring wedding took place at the Conservatory at Waterstone, nestled in the historic town of Acworth. Lizzy and Dardan wanted to spend as much time as possible together, so during and after their first look, they were able to enjoy each other’s company on their wedding day. They shared a lot of laughs as the wind picked up Lizzy’s veil and created a mind of its own (which made for great pictures!) Their ceremony was just as special when they read each other’s personal handwritten vows. Lizzy softly reached up to wipe away the tears streaming down Dardan’s face as he made his vows to his bride. During the reception, Lizzy performed an upbeat dance with a very special student of hers. It was so much fun to watch! Everyone truly did dance the night away!
Lizzy and Dardan’s love of travel and adventure was seen on their wedding day, especially in the ring boxes. When Dardan proposed, they went on a three week long European adventure and visited Sweden, England, Kosovo, Albania and Montenegro. Dardan was born in Kosovo. One evening, they went to a restaurant on top of the old Ulcinji castle, right on the sea. Little did Lizzy know, Dardan had rented out a secluded part of the restaurant andhad it decorated in candles and flower petals. As the sun was setting over the water, Dardan asked Lizzy to marry him!
I love their story and photographing them was so much fun for me because who they are together is who they are in front of the camera. It never changes…it’s sweet, it’s pure…and it’s timeless. And I know as time goes on, life will have changes for them, but their love for each other never will.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Latifi! So honored to have been a part of your story!
