I’m getting a little personal on the blog right now, but today is the best day for that because David and I are celebrating 6 years of dating! This blog could be a long one, but I tried to keep it short by sharing only a few snapshots from the past 6 years. But, trust me, my hard drive contains thousands of images of us!
I’m not sure if many know the story of how we met, which I will get to another time, but we started off by jet setting to Europe our first few months of dating. To quote, Mark Twain, “I have found out that there ain’t no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.” Well, I guess I ended up liking him even more! As I have mentioned before, Paris is my home away from home, and I am always wanting to visit every chance I get. David quickly learned that about me and made this trip to Paris happen. We rode bikes, drank too much wine, hung out with strangers who became friends, stayed up too late, saw many different sights and took a lot pictures. We have stolen kisses in Venice, jumped off cliffs in Croatia and strolled the sandy beaches of the Bahamas.
When I first met David, I noticed right away that this was a guy who was exciting and spontaneous. And it is those kind of qualities in him that have pulled out the greatest parts of myself. I always bring up the cliff jumping story in Croatia, not just because it was amazingly cool, but because it was a huge jump for me! Literally. I would have stood back and been part of the audience….too afraid to do it. David took my hand and led me to the top of those cliffs, gave me about a ten minute pep talk, and jumped off with me. It felt amazing to have accomplished that! I wouldn’t of done it without him! So much of that moment relates to our relationship and the way he pushes me to be the best version of myself, especially as a business owner.
I tossed in a picture of David holding a camera on the Eiffel Tower because it represents him taking on a love of mine…photography. So, there you have it! A blog of my two passions, David and photography! In that exact order 😉
